I think the weekend away thing is great! It's funny, my daughter Nicole wants to go fishing really bad! She has only gone once when she was 5 years old. She has never caught a fish! She is 14 on Saturday and has been with me to Paris and London on Mom's weekends...but I bet she would rather go fishing!
